Romans in Ancient China?
In a story that would make a good Hollywood movie there is a legend that some of Crassus' soldiers taken prisoner at the Roman disaster at Carrhae (53 BC) at the hands of the Persians settled in the Chinese city of Liqian. The UK Daily Telegraph and Xinhua have a story on this. An older story from the Archaeological Society of America. A Wikipedia article on ancient Sino-Roman relations. Doubtful but fun speculation.
